Does a Longoni pool cue come with a shaft?
Yes, unless the title says Butt. Each cue on this page is a butt and a shaft sold together, and the shaft is named in the title: S2, S20, S30 or Luna Nera. Butt-only products say so and are priced without a shaft.
Will any Longoni shaft fit any Longoni butt?
Any Longoni pool shaft fits any Longoni pool butt, because the whole pool range uses the VP2 joint. Carom shafts use the same joint but are a different length and taper.
What is the difference between the S2, S20 and S30?
All three are hard rock maple, 29 inches, with a 12.8 mm tip. They differ in how the shaft is cut and how much the cue ball deflects: the S30 deflects least, the S2 most, and the price follows.
What does the Luna Nera do that a maple shaft does not?
It is carbon fibre rather than wood, which means less cue-ball deflection than any maple shaft in the range and no change in how it plays as the humidity in the room changes.
Can I change the weight?
Yes. Longoni pool cues take weight bolts, and the weight is chosen on the cue page where that option exists.
